Over 400 leaders in the advertising and market industries will join GLAAD for the 2011 Amplifier Awards to honor the best in lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusive advertising. The silent auction/cocktail reception, Awards presentation and after party are presented by Omnicom Group and in part by DRAFTFCB and ROKK Vodka. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. at The Altman Building in New York City.

On Friday, September 16, 2011, Chris Isaacson presented 'New York's Finest: The Leading Men of Broadway' on the open-air stage of the Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood, CA which was directed by Tony Award-nominee Sam Harris (The Life, Grease, Liza at the Palace) and Music Directed by Brent Crayon.

On July 13, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. - NBC 'The Voice' star Frenchie Davis (Rent, Ain't Misbehavin, Dreamgirls) and American Idol's Blake Lewis will perform a free concert under the stars at The Grove in Los Angeles.

In a shocking elimination on last season of AMERICAN IDOL, front-runner Pia Toscano was eliminated from the show. Toscano's fans will get their wish, however: the singer has signed a recording contract with Interscope Records, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Her debut single, entitled 'This Time,' is set for a July 12 release.
