On Monday, August 6 Watts Village Theater Company (WVTC) will host its annual Gala titled, "Meet Me @Metro: Uncovering LA's Hidden Treasures VIP Gala & Pre-Show." The Gala will serve to promote WVTC's annual site-specific collaboration with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, "Meet Me @Metro: Uncovering LA's Hidden Treasures," which runs from Aug. 25 - Sept. 2, 2012. Proceeds from the event will go towards programming including WVTC's ongoing after-school underserved youth arts education programming in South LA in partnership with Green Dot Public Schools.

Comic-Con legend Kevin Smith, rock band The Bacon Brothers - featuring The Following star Kevin Bacon - and a night of standup comedy from NerdMelt will headline three days and nights of fun, free and fan-tastic outdoor entertainment as Warner Bros. Presents the 'Extra at Comic-Con' stage in San Diego's Bayfront Park, from today, July 12 through July 14 during the world's leading pop culture convention. Also announced today: free nighttime screenings of The Goonies, Friday the 13th (2009) and Beetlejuice, presented by Flixster.

Chris Isaacson has announced that Upright Cabaret's AMERICAN ICON Series ends another stunning season with VIVA LAS VEGAS - a presentation of personality and pop that honors the flashiest performers of all time: Elvis, Cher and Elton John. Upright Cabaret's AMERICAN ICON Series ends another season with VIVA LAS VEGAS - a presentation of personality and pop that honors the flashiest performers of all time: ELVIS, CHER & ELTON JOHN.

The McCallum Theatre, the Coachella Valley's premiere theatrical venue, will celebrate its 25th Anniversary Season with a star-studded lineup of Classical Music, Jazz, Cabaret, Comedy and a Broadway Blockbuster Series which includes Rock of Ages, Dreamgirls and West Side Story. The season kicks off on August 31 with comedy legend Steve Martin joined by the Grammy nominated Steep Canyon Rangers. This wonderfully eclectic season also includes Pink Martini, Howie Mandell, Barbara Cook, Michael Feinstein, Elaine Page and Yo-Yo Ma, to name a few.

RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT is the third installment of Upright Cabaret's "American Icon" Series and will star Olivier Award-Winner Lesli Margherita, Lexi Lawson (Rent, In The Heights)) and Rogelio Douglas Jr. (In The Heights, The Little Mermaid)). This high energy, multi-media Cabaret celebrates the music of Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Santana and features pop favorites such as Livin' La Vida Loca, Shake Your Bon-Bon, Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Anything for You, Smooth, Let It Shine, and more, performed live with the Upright Cabaret band!

Paper Mill Playhouse has just announced casting for Damn Yankees, directed by Paper Mill Playhouse's Producing Artistic Director, Mark S. Hoebee, with choreography by Denis Jones. The cast features Howard McGillin (Applegate), Chryssie Whitehead (Lola), Christopher Charles Wood (Joe Hardy), Joseph Kolinski (Joe Boyd), Patti Cohenour (Meg Boyd) and Nancy Anderson (Gloria Thorpe). Damn Yankees begins performances on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, and runs at the Millburn, New Jersey theater through Sunday, April 1, 2012.
