Pacific Symphony Pops Will Rock You With MUSIC OF QUEEN Concert, April 26-27

Epic rock riffs and majestic symphonic strings will come together in perfect harmony as Pacific Symphony pays tribute to one of the greatest bands of all time. Joined by high energy band and vocalists Windborne, the Symphony performs hits such as "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Are the Champions," "Killer Queen," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "Another One Bites the Dust" and many more! The orchestra opens the show with a performance by violinist Aubree Oliverson of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, Gardel's "Por una Cabeza" (the tango heard in "Scent of a Woman" and in the famous Arnold Schwarzenegger/Jamie Lee Curtis dance scene in "True Lies") and a medley of hits by The Beatles.

Additional Artists Announced For 2019 TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival

Coastal Jazz & Blues Society announced today additional performances for the 34th annual TD Vancouver International Jazz Festival, taking place June 21 to July 1. The Festival lineup now includes headliner Herbie Hancock at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on June 29 as well as genre-bending performances from diverse, cutting-edge artists at Performance Works on Granville Island, Pyatt Hall (843 Seymour Street), and Frankie's Jazz Club (765 Beatty Street).

Overtures Piano Bar And London Musical Theatre Orchestra Join Forces At Bishopsgate Institute

Overtures Piano Bar - London's only sing-along piano bar dedicated to musical theatre - is travelling from its home in Marble Arch to Liverpool Street for a one-off celebration at Bishopsgate Institute. Accompanied by the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, and conducted by Freddie Tapner (Wicked, Victoria Apollo Theatre; Jersey Boys, UK Tour; Mack and Mabel, Hackney Empire), it is guaranteed to be a riotous evening, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds and, most importantly, all singing levels.

Queen and Adam Lambert Will Head To Australian Stadiums In February 2020

The soaring success of the film Bohemian Rhapsody, the highest grossing music biopic of all time, has proven that the love for Queen remains as strong as ever. Lifelong Australian fans and new converts will be thrilled with the news that Queen original band members Brian May and Roger Taylor are teaming up once more with longtime frontman Adam Lambert on lead vocals and returning to Australia in February 2020 for 6 giant stadium shows with a brand-new, spectacular production.

Programme Announced For Sergei Polunin At The Palladium Including World Premiere of RASPUTIN

International ballet stars Sergei Polunin and Johan Kobborg will perform in a new mixed programme at the London Palladium from 28 May to 1 June 2019. The programme on 28, 29 and 30 May will feature three one-act ballets: Fraudulent Smile, Paradox and Sacre. The programme on 31 May and 1 June will feature the world premiere of Rasputin, with a final ballet to be announced at a later date.

Announcing Florida Rep Education's 2019-2020 Season

Florida Repertory Theatre's Education Department is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 season line-up. The Education Department season includes productions in its popular Theatre Conservatory Program, its second offering for the 2020 Junior Theatre Festival, and Theatre for Young Audiences Series, which tours across Southwest Florida to grades K through 12.

NIGEL SLATER'S TOAST Announces UK Tour

Following its world premiere at The Lowry, Salford in May, a sold-out run at as part of Traverse Festival 2018 at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and a London transfer to Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Other Palace where it is set to play from the 4th April - 3rd August, it is today announced that Nigel Slater's Toast will then tour the UK. Launching at Huddersfield's Lawrence Batley Theatre on 19 August, where the play's writer Henry Filloux-Bennett has recently been appointed Chief Executive, the run will conclude its run at the Crewe Lyceum on 7 December. Christian McBride Big Band Plays The Soraya April 26

Sly & Robbie, available Friday, March 29 for streaming and download; the track - produced by the legendary Youth (U2, Paul McCartney, The Verve), at Trojan Jamaica Studios in Ocho Rios and featuring a stellar solo from Jamaican guitar great Ernest Ranglin - is accompanied by a new companion visual, streaming now following its exclusive premiere via Rolling Stone.

John Coltrane Listening Party Announced in NYC

John Coltrane's breakout year, when his mature saxophone sound first grabbed ears and his own recordings began to sell consistently, was 1958. The upcoming box set Coltrane '58: The Prestige Recordings (out March 29 (5-CD & digital formats) and April 26 (8-LP format) on Craft Recordings), chronicles that exciting year session by session, featuring all 37 tracks Coltrane recorded as a leader or co-leader for the independent Prestige label in those 12 months. The collection captures Coltrane in creative high gear—developing the signature improvisational style that journalist Ira Gitler famously dubbed “sheets of sound.” In addition, Coltrane '58: The Prestige Recordings comes on the heel of the 60th anniversary of that breakthrough year, and serves as the cornerstone release marking the 70th anniversary of Prestige Records.
