Each week Joe's Pub at The Public presents some of New York City's most eclectic programming ranging from world to classical, pop, singer-songwriter, jazz and more. On Septembet 14th in the Heart of Times Square, 60 New York City Theatre Professionals (ranging from Broadway Veterans, to Radio City Rockettes) began to arise from the hustle and bustle to sing and dance their hearts out about the hottest nail product on the market: Shellac, created by CND (www.CND.COM). This was one of the biggest and most exciting Musical Theatre Flashmob's ever produced in Times Square, not just a random step touch dance number but a fully stage production number with ladies belting their faces and kicking about as high as the second floor of the A.E.A building.

Tony Award winner Faith Prince and other company members from the touring cast of the hit Broadway musical BILLY ELLIOT, plus Tony winner John Lloyd Young, cabaret star Shawn Ryan and other special guest stars joined together to present a one-time, one-night only benefit to raise funds for The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Unique New York Productions (UniqueNewYorkProductions.com) has done it again with their hilarious parodies, this time with the 'Sonic Yoga Tango,' a spoof on CHICAGO'S 'The Cell Block Tango, 'featuring Broadway's Deidre Goodwin (CHICAGO, A CHORUS LINE, NINE, and 'Chicago' - the movie), and J. Elaine Marcos (A CHORUS LINE, WEDDING SINGER, PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT, and 'Morning Glory') along with Emilee Dupre, Kaitlyn Davidson, Elizabeth Clinard, and Patrice Bunch as the Hell's Kitchen Yoginis. These girls discuss what it's like to be living in NYC, and what they do when they reach their boiling point.

Irving Berlin's White Christmas makes its Richmond, Va., stage debut this year at the historic Empire Theatre. The show, produced by Barksdale Theatre, opened November 19 and will run through January 9. It is directed by Patti D'Beck, who last year won the Richmond Theatre Critics Circle awards for best direction of a musical and best choreography for Barksdale's Thoroughly Modern Millie (which won 10 awards total). Like many of her leading players in White Christmas, D'Beck is a Broadway veteran, having performed in or associate-choreographed such shows as Pippin, A Chorus Line, Evita, Grease and Bells Are Ringing.
