A&E Network will premiere the new original scripted drama series 'Bates Motel' from executive producers Carlton Cuse ('Lost') and Kerry Ehrin ('Friday Night Lights') on Monday, March 18 at 10 PM ET/PT, it was announced today by Bob DeBitetto, President and GM of A&E Network and Bio Channel. 'Bates Motel' is a contemporary prequel to the genre-defining film 'Psycho,' and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' psyche unravels through his teenage years. Fans will have access to the dark, twisted backstory of Norman Bates and how deeply intricate his relationship with his mother, Norma, truly is. The series stars Academy Award nominee Vera Farmiga ('Up in the Air,' 'The Departed'), Freddie Highmore ('Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,' 'Finding Neverland'), Max Thieriot ('Disconnect'), Olivia Cooke ('Blackout') and Nicola Peltz ('The Last Airbender'). Season one also co-stars Nestor Carbonell ('Lost,' 'The Dark Knight Rises') and Mike Vogel ('Pan Am').

The New York Philharmonic will present Stephen Sondheim's groundbreaking Company, with an all-star cast led by Neil Patrick Harris, star of the hit television series, How I Met Your Mother, on April 7-9, 2011. The award-winning musical will be produced and directed by Lonny Price, who directed and co-produced last season's SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert!, and will be conducted by Sondheim specialist Paul Gemignani, with the original orchestrations for a 35-piece orchestra by Jonathan Tunick. The New York Philharmonic will present SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert on March 15 and Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at 7:30 p.m. This celebration of the 80th birthday of the great Broadway and film composer/lyricist will include his most enduring orchestral music and songs - performed, in some cases, by the stars of the original Broadway cast productions - in addition to rarely-heard material. Joining the celebration will be (in alphabetical order) Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters, and others to be announced, including surprise guests.
