Teatro ZinZanni Seattle today announced the cast of headlining talent set to play in the romantic, original production, Hotel L'Amour. Starring the return of the Tony Award-winning living legend Liliane Montevecchi, Hotel L'Amour also features funny man Frank Ferrante, master illusionist Maestro Voronin, aerialist and choreographer to the stars Dreya Weber, and opera diva Kristin Clayton alongside international circus artists Svetlana, aerialist Rui Ling, and juggler Viktor Lee. When the staff at Hotel L'Amour catches wind of the Madame's return, they literally bend over backward to prepare - champagne flows and dreams never die as the Madame reflects on her life and tales of wonder with gorgeous French flare. On May 9th 2016, the Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University curated an interesting presentation entitled: Ballet and Tap Dancing: Oil and Water? The History of Attempts to Mix Ballet and Tap as part of their public conversations series. This one featured acclaimed author, dance critic, and writer Brian Seibert. Mr. Seibert led this talk with aims of giving the audience an overview of the various attempts to fuse the two dance forms.

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint has announced the slate of plays scheduled for the New Brunswick theatre's 2016-17 five-play season. George Street's 43rd season begins in October and will feature five extraordinary productions, including: Mama's Boy, a chilling glimpse into the home life of Lee Harvey Oswald; American Son, a Laurents/Hatcher Foundation Award-winner about the racial divide; Joshua Harmon's Bad Jews, a comedic take on family, faith and legacy; and Daddy Long Legs, a romantic musical based on a classic novel. A fifth production will be announced at a later date.

Musicals Tonight will offer FIVE classic revivals in their 19th season - Funny Face, Hoi Polloi, Louisiana Purchase, Mr. Wonderful, and I Can Get It for You Wholesale. A subscription costs $146.25 and single tickets will go on sale after Labor Day. Performances are at the intimate Lion Theatre (88 seats) in the Theatre Row Studios complex at 410 West 42nd Street.

Hard to believe, but it's been four years since we sat down with Jeremy Benton, whom we've since referred to as Broadway's Best Tap Dancer every chance we've had, and now it seems as that title has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Just yesterday, Benton - a native of Springfield, Tennessee - was honored with a nomination for a Fred and Adele Astaire Award in the category for best off-Broadway male dancer, heralding his critically acclaimed role in Cagney, the Musical.

Ken Davenport and Michael Jackowitz, the producers of the new Off-Broadway musical DADDY LONG LEGS, have announced that the winner of the "Give A Girl Her Chance" contest will perform live tonight at the Davenport Theatre. Una Morrison of Derry City, Ireland will take the stage for her Off-Broadway debut after tonight's 7pm performance of DADDY LONG LEGS.

The full programme has today been announced for the inaugural FRAME London Dance Film Festival. The vast programme of films and events is to take place from 9 to 12 June 2016 in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. Presented by the UK's pioneering dance company BalletBoyz in association with dancescreen, the festival is set to offer a unique opportunity to enjoy the best creative talent in dance and film to the general public, as well engaging broadcasters, video artists and choreographers. Over the three days, there are over 122 films screening with 11 World Premieres, 8 International, 4 European and 28 UK Premieres amongst the new work. These will be presented alongside classic films for all ages led by a celebration of Gene Kelly, dance performances and outdoor and family activities at various venues across the town.

Nominations for the 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, which honor outstanding dance and choreography on stage and screen, were announced today at the Friar's Club by New York Post columnist Michael Riedel. For the first time, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards have explored recognizing excellence in dance, movement, and choreography off-Broadway. Twenty eligible shows in the non-profit and commercial off-Broadway arenas met the eligibility requirements and were considered.
