Propeller Theatre Company to Present TWELFTH NIGHT, New Work and More in 2012-13

The next two years of programming for Edward Hall's Propeller theatre company will include three brand new productions - a Shakespeare production, an hour-long version of Henry V, and Propeller's first ever new writing commission - as well as a tour of two Propeller classics to new UK and international audiences, and a revival of a third Propeller Shakespeare production.

The Play Company Presents CABARET GOURMET 2012; Peter Dinklage Hosts Tonight, 4/30

Off-Broadway's The Play Company will feature a cornucopia of food prepared by some of NYC's top chefs at its 9th annual benefit gala CABARET GOURMET 2012, set for tonight, April 30th at 7PM at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse (227 West 42nd Street). Lauren Worsham, who most recently appeared as Amy in the City Center Encores! production of Where's Charley, will perform. Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winner Peter Dinklage ("Game of Thrones") will serve as emcee for the event.

WHALE WARS: VIKING SHORES, a new five-part series beginning tonight, April 27, at 8 PM (et/pt) with a two-hour premiere follows Sea Shepherd Conservation Society as it sets sail to end this ancient traditionknown as 'The Grind' - Faroese for 'whale drive' - that takes place every summer.

Jane Lynch, Carol Burnett Set for BACKSTAGE AT THE GEFFEN, 6/4

Emmy Award winning actress Jane Lynch will host this year's Backstage at the Geffen fundraiser, which recognizes leadership in the theater community while raising support for the theater's artistic and outreach initiatives, honoring Hollywood legend Carol Burnett and Chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment Jim Gianopulos. Ms. Burnett will receive the Distinction in Theater Award and Mr. Gianopulos will be presented with the Distinction in Service Award by entertainment icon and longtime colleague Warren Beatty. The star-studded event will be co-chaired by Chairman and CEO of The Walt Disney Company Robert A. Iger and his wife, journalist Willow Bay. This irreverent evening of laughter, music and stories, which is sponsored by City National Bank, will be held on Monday June 4, 2012 at the Geffen Playhouse.

Today we are kicking off BroadwayWorld's exclusive multi-part InDepth InterView series focusing on the New York Pops 29th Birthday Gala concert celebrating the music and musicals of Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, JOURNEY ON, that will take place at Carnegie Hall on April 30 at 7 PM by taking to the lyricist half of the lauded Tony Award-winning songwriting team herself, the thoughtful and candid Lynn Ahrens. In a wide-ranging conversation covering many of her theatrical collaborations with Stephen Flaherty from their first musical, LUCKY STIFF, in the 1980s, to their Tony-winning success with RAGTIME in the 1990s, to their astounding slate of shows since - SEUSSICAL: THE MUSICAL, DESSA ROSE and THE GLORIOUS ONES included - all the way up to 2012 and their new musical in pre-production in Germany, ROCKY, based on the iconic 1975 Oscar-winning Sylvester Stallone-starring boxing film. 54 BELOW, the nightclub and restaurant announced earlier this year, today confirmed additional bookings at the new space located at 254 West 54th Street. Additional artists have been announced for composer-lyricist Scott Alan's fourth recording, 'Live,' which follows his critically acclaimed 'What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up,' 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and 'Keys.' Newly announced for the disc are Wicked's Julia Murney, Ragtime Tony nominee Christiane Noll, Newsies' Ben Fankhauser and Season 3 winners of 'The Sing-Off,' Pentatonix.

Canadian Stage Presents THE GAME OF LOVE AND CHANCE, Beginning 4/16

Canadian Stage, in co-production with Centaur Theatre, presents The Game of Love and Chance, a boisterous comedy by noted French dramatist Pierre de Marivaux. The play, in a new translation by award-winning playwright Nicolas Billon and directed by Canadian Stage Artistic & General Director, Matthew Jocelyn, is a hilarious girl-meets-boy romp about mistaken identity, true love and the business of marriage.
