The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director, Joey Parnes) is proud to announce that acclaimed playwright Kristoffer Diaz will be the first recipient of The Gail Merrifield Papp Fellowship. The Fellowship, announced at The Public Theater's Gala on Monday night which honored Gail Merrifield Papp for her lifelong service and dedication to The Public Theater, was created to support a playwright every season.

Madison Opera's Opera in the Park marks its tenth anniversary on Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m. in Garner Park on Madison's West Side. The annual free concert of opera and Broadway favorites will close Madison Opera's 50th anniversary season.

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to ASU Gammage, May 17-22 for eight performances only. Tickets are on sale now.

Celebrating Great American Stories series. The Great Upheaval: Modern Art from the Guggenheim Collection, 1910-1918 illuminates the dynamism of this fertile period, as artists hurtled toward abstraction and the ultimate 'great upheaval' of a catastrophic war, and also highlights the masterpieces of modern art that launched the museum's collection. The exhibition unites the Guggenheim Foundation's remarkable collections in New York and Venice in order to trace the origins of the museum and capture the spirit and dynamism of the European avant-garde.

Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its 2011 spring season. Since 1984, in over 300 programs, New Yorkers have been able to see, hear, and meet the most acclaimed artists in the world, in an intimate setting unlike any other. Each 80-minute program informs artistic creation through stimulating artist discussion and performance and is presented in the Guggenheim's Frank Lloyd Wright-designed 285-seat Peter B. Lewis Theater. Each season Works & Process champions new works and offers unprecedented access to leading creators and performers. After most programs, the artists continue the discussion at a reception in the museum's rotunda. Described by the New York Times as 'a popular series devoted to shedding light on the creative process,' Works & Process is produced by founder Mary Sharp Cronson.
