Fall 2017 Programs Announced at the Guggenheim Museum

The Sackler Center for Arts Education at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum presents the following public programs and film festival in conjunction with the exhibitions Mystical Symbolism: The Salon de la Rose+Croix in Paris, 1892-1897 and Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World. On the occasion of Archtober, New York's architecture and design month, the museum offers architecture-focused events and tours in addition to evening programming, including a special Halloween iteration of Art After Dark.

Dallas Theater Center to Host Community Conversation About MILLER, MISSISSIPPI

Dallas Theater Center will host a curated conversation featuring insights into the world-premiere play Miller, Mississippi on Aug. 21 at the Beckley-Saner Recreation Center, located at 114 W Hobson Ave., Dallas, Texas 75224. In a moderated panel discussion, Diane and Hal Brierley Resident Acting Company members Alex Organ and Liz Mikel will discuss their experiences, and how they have informed their approach to the characters they portray in Miller, Mississippi. Moderated by Amber Sims, this conversation will address advantage and what happens 'when tradition is sacred, and change is slow'. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. with food donated by Babe's Chicken Dinner House, followed by the conversation at 7 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

Lindsey Buckingham & Christine McVie Come to Ruth Eckerd Hall 11/9

On the heels of a sold-out critically acclaimed summer tour, longtime Fleetwood Mac members Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie announced today the second leg of their North American tour which includes a stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Thursday, November 9 at 7:30 pm.  Tickets go on sale Friday, August 18 at 10 am.  The second leg of their North American tour kicks off in San Jose, California.  For a full itinerary of newly added tour dates please visit www.buckinghammcvie.com.  The duo also announced a new single going to radio this week Lay Down For Free.

Chamber Project St. Louis Announces 2017-18 Season

Through seven concert sets, FAITH, BLUEPRINT, VOYAGER, ORIGINS, OPPOSITION, ECO, and CHOICE, Chamber Project St. Louis (CPSTL) will celebrate St. Louis and its place in the world in their 2017-18 season beginning on September 8, 2017.

Dallas Theater Center Presents the World Premiere of MILLER, MISSISSIPPI

2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award® Recipient Dallas Theater Center presents the world premiere of Miller, Mississippi; a new play written by Boo Killebrew and directed by Lee Sunday Evans. Beginning with a Pay-What-You-Can performance on Wednesday, Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m., the production runs through Sunday, Oct. 1 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre Studio Theatre. Ruth Eckerd Hall Announces Primus In Concert On Saturday, 11/11

GRAMMY nominated and multi-platinum selling band, Primus has announced fall tour dates in support of their ninth studio album, The Desaturating Seven, (Ato Records) which includes a stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Saturday, November 11 at 8 pm.  Tickets go on sale Friday, August 4 at 10 am. Works & Process at the Guggenheim Announces Costumes Designed by Dior

Works & Process at the Guggenheim announces that Dior will design costumes for the World Premiere of Falls the Shadow, a new 30-minute work made in and for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum rotunda. Falls the Shadow is spearheaded by American Ballet Theatre (ABT) principal Daniil Simkin, with new choreography by Alejandro Cerrudo, and projection design by Dmitrij Simkin.   

Ruth Eckerd Hall Presents CMT's NASHVILLE In Concert

Stars of the hit CMT series Nashville will embark on a fourth U.S. concert tour this summer, playing 11 shows in July and August, which includes a stop at Ruth Eckerd Hall today, July 25 at 8 pm.  Tickets go on sale Friday, May 5 at noon. Marin Center Partners with Award-Winning Actor, Comedian & Author Brian Copeland

Marin Center and the Marin Cultural Association, in partnership with Brian Copeland, are thrilled to present The Best of San Francisco Solo Series. For the first time ever in Marin County, Brian Copeland will present FIVE of the Bay Area's most critically-acclaimed, award-winning, and beloved solo shows for an exclusive run at Marin Center. Featuring performances by Copeland, Will Durst, Marga Gomez, Josh Kornbluth and Don Reed. The series runs from October, 2017 through April, 2018.

The Grammy Museum's MUSIC REVOLUTION PROJECT Returns to Ruth Eckerd Hall on 8/4

Returning for the fifth consecutive year, the GRAMMY Museum's acclaimed Music Revolution Project, an educational initiative developed in 2012, has begun at the Marcia P. Hoffman School of the Arts at Ruth Eckerd Hall, offering talented youth in the area the chance to engage in musical workshops, songwriting courses, mentoring sessions and record original material that they've written. The tuition-free, four-week program culminates when they perform their new work live at Ruth Eckerd Hall on Friday, August 4 at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale now.
