'Happy Birthday Harold' Charity Gala Will Celebrate Harold Pinter's Birthday

A thrilling cast of stars will take part in a one-off charity gala celebrating the life and work of Harold Pinter. The event Happy Birthday, Harold will be held on Pinter's birthday, the 10th October, in the theatre which bears his name, as a part of the Pinter at the Pinter season, which has just opened to critical acclaim. A limited number of public tickets are now on sale.

Tennessee Williams' SUMMER AND SMOKE Transfers To The Duke Of York's Theatre

The West End transfer of Tennessee Williams' intoxicating and rarely staged classic, Summer and Smoke, follows a sold-out and critically lauded run at the Almeida Theatre. Directed by the Almeida's Associate Director Rebecca Frecknall with the full cast reprising their roles for the West End run, this innovative new production of Summer and Smoke has a limited run from 10 November 2018 - 19 January 2019, at the Duke Of York's Theatre, with press night on Tuesday 20 November at 7pm.

Full Cast Announced For SUMMER AND SMOKE at the Almeida Theatre

Joining the previously announced Patsy Ferran are Seb Carrington, Nancy Crane, Eric MacLennan, Forbes Masson, Matthew Needham, Tok Stephen and Anjana Vasan. The production is designed by Tom Scutt, with lighting design by Lee Curran, composition by Angus MacRae, sound by Carolyn Downing and casting by Julia Horan.

BWW Review: TERROR, Lyric Hammersmith

With searingly topical timing, this summer sees the Lyric Hammersmith presenting the UK premiere of Terror, a tense courtroom drama by German lawyer and writer Ferdinand von Schirach which has become something of a worldwide hit. The premise is simple enough: a trial is undertaken on stage and the whole audience is the jury, voting after all the evidence has been presented.
