Flying Machine Productions Presents Minton Sparks, 6/2-12

Our New York summer will get started with a humid blast of music and rhythm from master Southern storyteller Minton Sparks, appearing for her first sitdown New York City run fresh from being awarded the 2011 Spoken Word Award by The Fellowship of Southern Writers. This was the first Spoken Word Award given in the 22-year history of The Fellowship.

Flying Machine Productions today announced that the Off-Broadway premiere of BLOOD TYPE: RAGU, a new play written and performed by Frank Ingrasciotta, and directed by Ted Sod, will conclude its run at the newly restored Actors' Playhouse (100 Seventh Avenue South) after the matinee on Sunday April 5th. At that point it will have played thirty performances and fourteen previews.

Preview peformances begin on February 20th, with an official opening night scheduled for March 5th, 2009. The production is the first to play the downtown space since filmmaker Lawrence Page bought it last year.
