Rough House Theater Co. is proud to announce its return this Halloween season with an updated production of the sold out 2018 horror phenomena. This year, Rough House Theatre presents The Silence in Harrow House , conceived and directed by Mike Oleon, written by Mark Maxwell and Claire Saxe, September 26 a?" November 10 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W Division St. Audiences once again descend into Rough House's gorgeous, dark and surreal world for a new story of silence, sacrifice and transformation. Previews are Thursday, Sept. 26 and Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7 and 8:45 p.m. Opening night is Thursday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m. Performance times are Thursdays and Fridays at 7 and 8:45 p.m., Saturdays at 6, 7:45 and 9:30 p.m., and Sundays at 6 and 7:45 p.m. Recommended for audiences aged 14 and over. Red Tape Theatre announces the newest members to the growing company! Red Tape Theatre, located in the heart of Lincoln Square at 4546 N. Western Avenue, operates under the FREE THEATRE MOVEMENT, which began in January of 2018 along with partner theatre, Theatre Y. It is the company's belief that access to the arts is essential for our community's ability to engage in a free exchange of ideas. Citadel Theatre is presenting A Christmas Story: The Musical as the second installment of its 14th Season. Directed by Robert D Estrin this musical is based on the story by Jean Shepherd with book byJoseph Robinette, and words and music by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The show runs November 18 - December 18, 2016 at Citadel's West Campus Theatre at 300 S Waukegan Road, Lake Forest. The Press Opening is Opening Night, Friday November 18, at 8pm.

Chicago Slam Works Ensemble Theatre proudly presents the third in its three-performance 2015-16 season, 'This Great Nation, Much Enduring', opening Friday, May 6 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont. 'This Great Nation, Much Enduring' follows the political path of an ambitious young Senator as he struggles to connect in the Midwest. Chicago Slam Works Ensemble Theatre (formerly Chicago Slam Works House Ensemble) incorporates elements of spoken word, movement, drama, music, and sketch comedy in each production. Using a central theme, each show is created and performed by the cast members using performance poetry as a stepping stone to produce an original and cohesive evening of theater. J.W. Basilo directs and the lead writer for this production is Shelley Elaine Geiszler. Performances are Fridays at 8:15 p.m. through June 10. Tickets are $20.
