Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX), and Imagine Entertainment today announced that Inferno, the latest film in the Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code) franchise, will be digitally re-mastered into the immersive IMAX format. The film, starring Tom Hanks as Dr. Robert Langdon and directed by Ron Howard, will be released into IMAX theatres worldwide coinciding with the film's general release dates. Inferno which continues the $1.2 billion franchise, following the hits The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons will be released domestically on Oct. 28.

Westport Country Playhouse closed its season by honoring the centennial of Pultizer prize-winning playwright Arthur Miller with his 1994 play, Broken Glass. The title partly refers to Kristallnacht, the pogrom during which the windows of Jewish-owned homes and businesses and synagogues were smashed and nearly 100 Jews murdered during those attacks and 30,000 more were arrested and sent to concentration camps. However, it really refers to the broken spirtis of a Brooklyn couple.

Lucasfilm announced today that their first film in the new standalone Star Wars stories series, "Rogue One," has begun principal photography. Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla," "Monsters") is directing "Rogue One," which tells the story of resistance fighters who have united to steal plans to the dreaded Death Star. The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy and is slated for a December 16, 2016 release.
