For awhile now, we have been receiving press materials and hearing about The Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF), but never witnessed the group first-hand.
Well, that all changed this past Saturday night, in Philadelphia, when we decided to go to the Kimmel Center and see the 2011 Summer-Intensive weekend showcase, this year titled TRUE COLORS.
I can honestly say that our jaws dropped. Directed and hosted by the newest addition to their impressive faculty line-up, Richard Jay-Alexander, the evening was like watching a skillfull PLAYLIST of Broadway 'gold' and 'showstoppers.' Two ACTS worth!

Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston concludes its 43rd consecutive summer season August 5-14 with one of the most inspiring true stories ever set to music, 'The Sound of Music.' Starring stage and screen idol Patrick Cassidy as Captain von Trapp and Broadway luminary Sarah Pfisterer as Maria, 'The Sound of Music' is being brought back by popular demand, voted by Reagle audiences as one of their all-time 'favorite things.'

Classic Stage Company (CSC), under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Jessica R. Jenen, will present Tony Award winning actor Alan Cumming and Tony-nominated actress Jessica Hecht in a one night only staged reading of Tennessee Williams' THE TWO CHARACTER PLAY on Monday evening, May 9 at 8 pm at CSC (136 East 13th Street).

Karl Scully has graced the international opera stages in Italy in Orvietto at the Teatro Mancinelli and as resident tenor at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Italy . He has performed most recently at the Barga Opera Festival in 2010. Not to be confined to one avenue to showcase his musical talent, Karl Scully appeared with Ewan McGregor in the film 'Nora' as he portrayed the legendary tenor Count John McCormack. In 2006, Mr. Scully joined the sensational international group 'The Irish Tenors', and starred in their television show 'The Irish Tenors and Friends'.
