Miss Lulu Bett, a comedy of manners by the first woman playwright to win a Pulitzer Prize, Zona Gale (1874-1938), will be presented in a staged reading 90 years after its Broadway debut by Women's Project, Julie Crosby, Producing Artistic Director, for one night only, Monday, April 12, at 7:00pm, at Women's Project, 424 West 55th Street.

This year, V-Day Toronto presents two exciting theatre productions marking the 12th anniversary of the global movement to stop violence against women and girls. Eve Ensler's Obie Award-winning play, 'The Vagina Monologues', featuring Paula Brancati, was performed on March 13 and 14 to much acclaim. This weekend, 'A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer', a groundbreaking collection of writings, takes to the stage with performances on March 20 and 21, 2010.

Flashpoint Theatre Company presents the Philadelphia premiere of Sheila Callaghan's Crumble (Lay Me Down Justin Timberlake), April 15 - May 8, 2010. All performances will be held at Second Stage at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street, in Philadelphia.

The 32-year-old theater company dedicated to producing the work of female theater artists made the awards last night on International Women's Day at Women's Project's home, the Julia Miles Theater, 424West 55th Street.

Enlisting the talents of five female artists -- Elinor Bell, Erin Cote, Michelle Ianiro, Sarah Savage, Claire Zawa -- Boxcar Theatre's Project V offers an updated perspective on the monologues that shook a nation and changed a world. The play will close on February 14, 2010.

Salt Lake Community College Health & Wellness Services is presenting V-Day Salt Lake Community College 2010, a benefit production of Eve Ensler's The Vagina Monologues. The profits for the benefit will go toward raising funds and awareness to end violence against women and girls.

All proceeds from the event, which is spearheaded and produced by members of the A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts Program, will go to La Casa de les Madres women's shelter in San Francisco and the V-Day organization. The cast features A.C.T. core acting company member René Augesen, A.C.T. Artistic Director Carey Perloff, and A.C.T. Conservatory Director Melissa Smith, joined by a selection of A.C.T. staff members, A.C.T. M.F.A. Program students, and Bay Area actresses.
