The Japanese American Cultural & Community Center Presents THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES: Filipinas 2010 on Sunday April 25. The all-Filipina cast includes Grammy Award winner Tia Carrere, recording artist and performer Becca Godinez, Ovation Award winner Jennifer Paz, actress Tamlyn Tomita, actress/singer Giselle Tongi and Tony Award winner Lea Salonga.

Stone Soup Theatre in Seattle, Washington will end its run of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES: 10 ANNIVERSARY EDITION on April 25th. This version of the play will include five new monologues, presented by five multi-ethnic, gender-diverse women. The two casts feature Janet Hietter, Melissa Malloy, Joan Patrie, Marisol Sanchez, Heather Ward for Fridays and Sundays. Camille Campbell, Geni Hawkins, Frances Hearn, Aidan Karamanyan, Melissa Topscher are featured Thursdays and Saturdays.

Open auditions are being held in Provincetown, MA on Saturday, May 15th from 10AM to 3PM for the summer-run of David Parr's new play Slap&Tickle at the Provincetown Theater, 238 Bradford Street. To be directed by Obie Award winner David Drake, this pre-New York engagement of Slap&Tickle will run Tuesdays thru Saturdays, July 6th thru August 14th at the Provincetown Theater.

Community Forum Held At Ohio Theatre, Wooster Street Space To Close 8/31

The League of Independent Theater and the Innovative Theatre Foundation will co-sponsor The Community Forum on the Ohio Theatre. The event will begin at 6:30pm at the Ohio Theatre located at 66 Wooster Street in Soho, NY. After two years of negotiation, two lease extensions, and a 29-year history as an indispensable pillar of the downtown theatre scene, the Ohio Theatre must close the doors at its Wooster Street space forever on August 31, 2010.

In support of the global movement to stop violence against women and girls, V-Day Toronto took to the stage with two productions: Eve Ensler's Obie-Award winning play 'The Vagina Monologues' was performed on March 13 and 14, and 'A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer' was performed the following weekend on march 20 and 21.
