Staged in the striking setting of a disused print works in the town centre, The Bacchae runs from Friday 18 May to Saturday 30 June and takes to the Royal stage from Friday 25 May to Saturday 30 June. With Big Story Small, Pony World Theatre distills a collection of classic plays into potent, short works. In the company's second installment of Big Story Small, eight "new" plays have been adapted by local writers and will perform three nights only, tonight May 10 and May 11, and 12 at 8pm at Theatre Off Jackson. The Renegade Company, one of Philadephia's youngest theatre companies, will present its fourth production, Muller's Hamletmachine and Medeaplays. These works assess the state of 20th Century Germany and allude to the constant threat of nuclear annihilation. The Renegade Company aims 'to tell familiar stories in unfamiliar ways, and Hamletmachine and Medeaplays are wonderful additions to this mission.'
