This November marks the 20th Anniversary of the Django Reinhardt NY Festival at Birdland Jazz Club, produced by Pat Philips-Stratta and her late partner, conductor Ettore Stratta. The festival, which began in 1999, has featured many talented musicians over the years who embody the gypsy jazz style of music by the great Django Reinhardt. Of these was guitarist Dorado Schmitt.

Many folks don't think of these composers as Jewish so much as quintessentially American, nor do they think of these Christmas songs as Jewish. But Ehrenreich, who grew up in Brooklyn as a child of Jewish Holocaust survivors, does.

Her husband, JAQUES is a renowned cellist who graces the Birdland stage for the first time along with the other great artists in the Band , talented Vocalist Patricia Alves, top Brazilian bassist Itaiguara Brandao on bass, exciting Trumpeter Jesse Sadoc and famed Drummer Renato Masssa from Brazil plus talented jazz guitarist Roni Ben-Hur.
Singer TONIA TECCE, who has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, Academy of Music and sung with Peter Nero and many orchestras, made her very successful New York City cabaret debut in 2013 at The Metropolitan Room.
While many of its architects - the creators of the sound, style and form of Bossa Nova and Samba - are no longer with us, two talents who shortly followed in their footsteps are coming to Birdland in an exciting collaboration.
