The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere musical The Outer Space tonight, February 23, in Joe's Pub at The Public.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the monthly gathering of the International Order of Sodomites, the centuries-old organization which sets the mythic Gay Agenda - will continue its final season on Sunday, February 19 with a celebration of the iconic director and choreographer Michael Bennett at 9:30 PM at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater. The Meeting*, the acclaimed comedy/variety show known for its audacious humor, trailblazing political discourse and button-pushing cultural exploration, will come to an end at the conclusion of the season in May 2017. Special guests for the February show include Ashanti J'Aria, who joins previously-announced Carolee Carmello, T. Oliver Reid, Rob Maitner, Jacob Hoffman, Lori Ann Ferreri, Rosie Lani Fiedelmanand Tera-Lee Pollin. Tracy Stark serves as the evening's music director.

Lott Entertainment Presents' spring lineup will take fans on an epic journey through Cherokee country, into a world of whimsical sexual exploration-one that is taking Off Broadway by storm-and, finally, into a multi-genre glimpse into the lives of six different musicians, all portrayed by one man. All performances will take place at Lott Entertainment Presents' new home in the Neuhaus Theatre at the Alley Theatre.

Bacharach Reimagined - will return to Joe's Pub at The Public for two solo concerts by popular demand tonight, February 15, 2017 at 7:00 PM and Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 9:30 PM.

Throughout 2017, Joe's Pub at The Public will present artists Michael Mwenso and Shaina Taub in respective yearlong residencies, both occurring on a monthly basis.

The Geffen Playhouse today announced that the cast for its West Coast Premiere production of Matthew Lopez's The Legend of Georgia McBride will feature Andrew Burnap as Casey, Matt McGrath as Miss Tracy Mills, Nija Okoro as Jo, Larry Powell as Rexy / Jason and Nick Searcy as Eddie.

The Public Theater will begin previews for the world premiere musical THE OUTER SPACE on Thursday, February 23 in Joe's Pub at The Public. With book and lyrics by Ethan Lipton and directed by Leigh Silverman, the show has been extended one week through Sunday, April 9, with an official press opening on Wednesday, March 8. THE OUTER SPACE features music composed and performed by Ethan Lipton, Vito Dieterle, Eben Levy, and Ian Riggs.

Led by Founding Artistic Director Katherine Kovner and Producing Director Roberta Pereira, and following the success of Sarah DeLappe's critically acclaimed The Wolves, The Playwrights Realm continues their female-centric 10th Anniversary season with the New York Premiere of Jen Silverman's The Moors (February 27 - March 25) at The Duke on 42nd Street, a New 42nd Street project. Directed by Mike Donahue and riffing on the lives and works of certain 19th-century novel-writing sisters, The Moors is a dark comic examination of the ways in which women fight for visibility.
