Peter Flynn tackles Sondheim's darkly imagined INTO THE WOODS at Ford's Theatre and the result is sensational. Flynn leads an exceptional cast and, with support from Michael Bobbitt's choreography, Milagros Ponce Leon's set design, and Wade Laboissonniere's costume design, has a hit on his hands.

Virginia's Signature Theatre opens its doors for its annual Open House on Sunday, August 5, for an all-day extravaganza full of live performances and arts events across six different stages. Free and open to the public, this special summer event runs from noon until 8:30pm, with numerous performances throughout the Signature complex starting every fifteen minutes, as well as a one-day-only discounted ticket sale at the Box Office for select performances of mainstage shows in Signature's 2018/19 season. As the capstone of its first-ever 'Year-Long Production,' The Highwood Theatre is honored to bring the landmark musical, WEST SIDE STORY, to the stage in downtown Silver Spring.  The production - the biggest in Highwood history - will feature a cast of 25 exceptionally talented students in grades 7 through 12, backed up by a full orchestra of 25 student musicians from local high schools and colleges.
