Bernadette Peters, one of the greatest living Broadway superstars, will headline the first opening gala, Once Upon a Dream, at ZACH's new Topfer Theatre Sept. 27. The illustrious actress, winner of two Tony Awards, three Drama Desk Awards, and a Golden Globe Award, is known for iconic stage roles in Gypsy, Song and Dance, and Annie Get Your Gun among many others. Her performance at ZACH's gala will include a 30-piece orchestra of Austin musicians.

Florida State Theatre will be moving 'Shake Rattle & Roll' into the Gompertz theatre to allow it a 2-week extension. It ends performances in the Cabaret on March 25, 2012, and will continue from March 27 - April 7 in the Gompertz.

Shake, Rattle & Roll is a tribute to the birth of rock music and the legacy of Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, the Everly Brothers, and more. These artists introduced the world to Rock 'n' Roll, with a west-Texas country sound, sweet harmonies of Kentucky bluegrass, and the electrifying rhythm and blues of Memphis. Dick Clark once said "Elvis was the King of Rock 'n' Roll, but Buddy Holly was the undisputed father of rock music."

'I can't believe they are all here!' declared a voice from the audience in response to seeing eight cast members from the hit series 'The Waltons' up in front of fans on Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. Michael Learned (Olivia Walton/Momma) wasn't surprised at all saying, 'Mary has always been the one to instigate gatherings. Sometimes, she calls and says, 'OK it's about time we got together.'
