KTC presents seven original works by PlayLab, their professional playwriting lab. LAb Works runs August 10th to September 16th at the Skylight Theatre Complex. Start with 'an appetizing and farcical look at film festivals or check out what happens when a focus group goes awry. Then voyage with a thief traveling back in time to deliver guns to Harriet Tubman, or dine with a Filipino household forced to cope with the family baggage. Anyway you look at it - PlayFest 2012 is juicy!'

Comedy acts all over the country are getting their acceptances for the 12th Annual North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. This year, those acts will gather in the Triangle for three weeks of comedy throughout Chapel Hill, Carrboro, and Durham. This annual event runs February 1-19, 2012 and features stand-up, sketch, and improv acts in seven venues across the region. Tickets and a full schedule will be available at www.nccomedyarts.com.

When ImprovBoston set out to find a new Managing Director early this year, they had several ideas of what that person would look like. The festival runs February 4-27, 2010 and has added two new weeks of sketch comedy performances and film screenings.
