The Tony Award-winning Broadway hit MATILDA THE MUSICAL, in collaboration with Penguin Young Readers Group, continues its monthly book club in celebration of Roald Dahl this Thursday, July 11. Fans can tune in at 7:00 PM EST to watch a Google+ Hangout video chat with Lucy Dahl, daughter of the best-selling author, and actress Missi Pyle, who starred in Tim Burton's film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as Mrs. Beauregarde. They'll be discussing Dahl's book 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and sharing stories of their own experiences with the novel. The Lied Center for Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln has announced its 24th season of world-class performing artists. The season includes 51 performances of 31 shows from a wide range of genres including Broadway, classical music, dance, theater, world music and jazz, comedy, holiday performances, folk music and shows for families.

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of Mo Willems' award-winning Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!, Disney Publishing Worldwide will publish three new titles. Fans can take a drive down memory lane with It's a Busload of Pigeon Books!, a boxed set of three classic Pigeon titles at a smaller trim size and featuring an original poster illustrated by Mo Willems, publishing on April 2. Don't Pigeonhole Me!: Two Decades of the Mo Willems Sketchbook, available on June 18,gives adults a rare glimpse at Willems' early self-published Pigeon illustrations, along with two decades' worth of cartoons and sketches. Elephant and Piggie, Willems' New York Times best-selling duo, will also have a new book, titled A Big Guy Took My Ball!, publishing on May 21.

As one of the twenty largest professional regional theatres in the U.S., Children's Theatre Company is the national leader in creating work for young audiences, ages two through eighteen. The 2013-2014 Season will be among the most innovative with three world premieres, two extraordinary guest companies, a new preschool piece and a Broadway musical. The season will also include a beloved classic never before seen at CTC and a Philip Pullman masterpiece brought to the stage for the first time. The Wong Kids in The Secret of the Space Chupacabra Go! by Lloyd Suh is CTC's first ever sci-fi anime inspired production. This world premiere will be co-produced with the Ma- Yi Theater Company and run at CTC before playing in New York.

For this all-new triple bill of three Eric Carle favorites, Chicago Children's Theatre and Open Books are co-sponsoring a Brown Bear, Brown Bear Book Drive, and encouraging families to bring new or used early childhood reading books with them to the theater to donate to Chicago area kids in need.
