The First Twenty, a new content initiative from ALL ARTS uncovering the ways that the first two decades of the 21st century have impacted American art, culture and the collective consciousness, premieres three original specials this fall.

Enda Walsh returns to the Brooklyn waterfront theater to direct the American premiere of his searing, critically lauded new play Medicine, with a star-studded cast led by Domhnall Gleeson and including Clare Barrett, Aoife Duffin, and percussionist Seán Carpio, November 11 - December 5.

The world's leading performing arts festival features a diverse programme of over 170 performances in Scotland's capital city, spanning classical and contemporary music, theatre, opera, dance and spoken word. In a first for the International Festival, a digital programme delivers 18 free full-length performances to audiences around the world.  

​​​​​​​CCAE Theatricals, the new in-house theatrical arm of the California Center for the Arts, Escondido, has announced its 2021/22 season, featuring 4 Main Stage musicals and a developmental reading.

Lessons for Diving by Silas Parry, directed by Matt Steinberg will be workshopped 19-24 July, with showcase on 24 July and performed by Sebastián Capitán Viveros, Patrick McNamee and Dan Wolff. This will be followed by Kristian Phillips' Drift, directed by Matt Steinberg and performed by Tom Rhys Harries, workshopped 26 – 28 July with the showcase on 28 July; and finally, Boomerang by Jack Stanley will be developed 29 – 31 July, with the showcase on 31 July, directed by Jude Christian. Showcases will be at the Jerwood Space.

Special guests Michelle Meece (Savannah Theatre) and Ricardo Ochoa (Velvet Caravan) will headline the next entry in Savannah Rep's acclaimed “Concerts on Broughton” series - ONCE: IN CONCERT, an evening of music from the 2012 Tony winner for Best Musical.

The Hangar's opening performance of Once by Enda Walsh with music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová will begin July 2th at 7:30 pm, continuing the Hangar's 2021 Outdoor Mainstage season! A preview performance will precede the opening on July 1 at 7:30 pm; matinee and evening performances will run through Saturday, July 17. 

Darlinghurst Theatre Company has announced that the Sydney season of ONCE is to be extended through 6 August due to unprecedented public demand.

Tickets  are now on sale for the Broadway musical ONCE, which is set to melt hearts again at Melbourne’s prestigious Comedy Theatre from 17 September.  Based on the movie of the same name by John Carney, with a book by Enda Walsh, it is the only Broadway show with music that won the Academy Award®, Grammy Award®, Olivier Award and Tony Award®.

New York Theatre Workshop announced today that Artistic Director James C. Nicola will depart the theater on June 30, 2022. Nicola has been the Artistic Director of New York Theatre Workshop since 1988.

The Drama League announced today the casting for DirectorFest 2021, a multi-week festival celebrating the art of stage directing and honoring the service organization’s 2020-21 Directors Project class of New York and Classical Fellowship recipients.

The Drama League will present the 87th Drama League Awards, which will be pre-recorded and streamed on May 21, 2021. The nomination process, which will focus on extraordinary digital theatrical productions during the shutdown of live performance and identifying individuals and organizations that made an impact in the last year, is currently underway.
