Platinum-selling, Grammy(R) Award-winning rock duo The White Stripes take viewers and fans on an intimate road trip in the new documentary THE WHITE STRIPES: UNDER GREAT WHITE NORTHERN LIGHTS, which takes a rare, unprecedented journey along with Jack and Meg White as they traverse Canada. Playing at big arenas and unheard of local venues (i.e. a bowling alley, flour mill, youth center and city bus) for native audiences - some of whom have never heard of the chart-topping band - in provinces like British Columbia, Vancouver, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. The film premiered last year at the Toronto Film Festival and will make its premium television debut on SHOWTIME on Thursday, August 5th at 8 PM ET/PT.

Millon Dollar Quartet Rocks! Extended to January 2nd

Million Dollar Quartet is an electrifying musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis for the first and only time on December 4th, 1956. The Broadway production is still going strong with the original Chicago cast, three Tony nominations and one win, but don't count the Chicago production out yet. It's still rocking with a new cast now through January 2nd at the Apollo Theater.

Floyd Mutrux, head of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET co-production company American Pop Anthology, has plans to bring more musicals based on rock groups to Broadway, Variety reports. Of his plans, Mutrux says, 'With American Pop Anthology, I've written a series of stories about the people who made the music that changed the culture of our country from the 1950s to 1980s, which ended with MTV...MTV took all the mystery out of rock 'n' roll. The record companies spent the money making videos and they stopped putting money into groups touring.'
