Just a few episodes into its second season, GLEE has broken the record for the most titles on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act. With six new entries this week alone, the cast of the pop-culture phenomenon has claimed the title previously held by The Beatles.

Continuing the celebration of the King of Rock 'n' Roll's 75th birthday in 2010, On Stage Touring and Troika Entertainment, in partnership with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., today announced the plans for the first-ever North American ELVIS LIVES Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artists Event.

Luigi Creatore's AN ERROR OF THE MOON, a speculation of jealousy, madness and the brothers Booth, will conclude its nine-week limited engagement this Sunday, October 10th.

Two Brooklyn opera companies, American Opera Projects (AOP) and Opera On Tap (OOT), will present the sixth installment of their 'Opera Grows in Brooklyn' series, a 90-minute evening of opera scenes and songs. The evening will feature OPERA ELVIS: A LAMENT FOR THE KING a classical take on the works of Elvis Presley; scenes from HENRY'S WIFE by composer Randall Eng and ROSENKRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD, based on the play by Tom Stoppard and adapted as an opera by composer/librettist Herschel Garfein; and 'A Poem Written For the Concrete Beneath the Bridge' by Caleb Burhans. The show will be held on Monday, October 18 at 8pm at Galapagos Art Space in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood. The Bob Baker Marionette Theater continues its 50th anniversary season with 'Bob Baker's Halloween Hoop-Dee-Do' playing October 2-31, 2010. As a special treat for 'Back To Schoolers' of all ages, the Theater will also offer a $5 discount on every ticket purchased for this special production.

The special performance of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET to benefit the Actors Fund will take place on September 26 at 7pm at the Nederlander Theatre.

In honor of the Bob Baker Marionette Theater's 50th anniversary, the theater continues its special 50th anniversary season with 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' opening July 17 and playing through September 26, 2010. 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' replaces the previously announced 'Bob Baker's Circus,' which could not resolve all of its production challenges in time for the opening, and is now slated for the 2011 season. The theater will also extend its Special Group Rate and Birthday Party Special for the run of 'SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT!' through September.

Originally scheduled for a special performance on September 24th with the cast of MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, it's been announced that Lesley Gore must now postpone that appearance. Gore will reschedule her appearance with MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET for a date in October. An exact date will be announced shortly.

This afternoon I was lucky enough to score some talk-time with legendary recording artist, Oscar-nominated songwriter and the most iconic female pop singer of the 60s, Ms. Lesley Gore. She will be appearing in Broadway's hit jukebox musical MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET one night only on Friday night, September 24th, but in this SOUND OFF SPECIAL INTERVIEW she opens up about her illustrious and accomplished career in the studio and on the stage - and also onscreen in an oh-so-classic BATMAN with Julie Newmar - as well some breaking news about her new biographical musical using both the stacks of hit songs she is so famous for and some newly written compositions. As if all that - and compelling recollections of time spent with Liza Minnelli, Jerry Lee Lewis, Quincy Jones, Laura Nyro (almost) and many more - weren't enough, we also have some breaking news about the future of her brother, a world-famous songwriter in his own right due to FAME, Michael Gore's infamous Broadway musical CARRIE may be making its way back to the boards very soon - which is the epitome of good news for Broadway babies who have wanted to know!
