Aurora Theatre Company continues its 19th season with the Bay Area Premiere of acclaimed writer and actor David Cale's new solo play PALOMINO. The San Francisco Chronicle declared Cale 'a spellbinder,' noting that as 'fascinating as he is to watch, and exquisite as his verbal imagery can be, it is Cale's gifts as a storyteller that hold an audience rapt.' Written, directed, and starring David Cale, PALOMINO plays October 29 through December 5 at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley. North Coast REP presents a full evening of soulful, acoustic music that you will no doubt leave you spellbound! Indie singers/songwriters, Jenn Grinels and Meghan Andrews, will be in concert one night only on Monday, September 20th. The Maldives have been added to the No Depression Festival lineup, as the Punch Brothers will unfortunately no longer be able to attend this year. The festival will take place Saturday, August 21, 2010, at Marymoor Park in Redmond, Washington, just outside Seattle. The all-day event will feature The Swell Season, Lucinda Williams, The Cave Singers, The Maldives, Alejandro Escovedo, Chuck Prophet & Sera Cahoone.

NBC has renewed 'Last Call with Carson Daly' (Monday-Friday, 1:35 a.m.-2:05 a.m. ET) for a 10th season and also has named Emmy Award nominee Alex Coletti (MTV's 'Unplugged') as the new executive producer of the network's annual 'NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly' (10-11 p.m. ET, and continuing at 11:30 p.m. ET.) The announcements were made today by NBC's Rick Ludwin, Executive Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series, and Nick Bernstein, Vice President, Late Night & Primetime Series.
