Today we rewind to 2015, when Dames at Sea was getting ready to arrive on Broadway. The musical opened on October 22 at the Helen Hayes Theatre, where it ran for 85 performances. Directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner, it starred John Bolton, Mara Davi, Danny Gardner, Eloise Kropp, Lesli Margherita, and Cary Tedder.

With college theatre program auditions just around the corner, we're highlighting some of the most prestigious theatre programs from all across the United States to give you insight into what to expect from their programs, from audition advice to real world experience and more. Today we're chatting with faculty from University of Oklahoma's Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre about its performance opportunities and major creative leaders.

Dear Evan Hansen's Mike Faist has been cast as Riff of the Jets  in Fox's Steven Spielberg West Side Story film, according to Deadline. Puerto Rican singer and dancer Ana Isabelle will play Rosalia, a shark who works with Maria and Dance Moms' Maddie Ziegler has been cast as part of the Jets. The LEXington Theatre Company (The LEX) welcomed Joe Carroll (Bandstand, Cinderella, Once), Dan DeLuca (Newsies First National Tour), Eloise Kropp (Dames at Sea, CATS, On The Town), and Solea Pfeiffer (City Center Songs For a New World, Hamilton West Coast Tour) to Kentucky, to headline the fifth edition of their signature 'Concert With The Stars' on January 5.

Just last night, Roundabout Theatre Company presented a special one-night-only Benefit Musical Performance of My One and Only, the award-winning musical comedy by Peter Stone and Timothy S. Mayer with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin. The event was led by Sutton Foster ('Edythe Herbert') and Gavin Creel ('Captain Billy Buck Chandler'), with Heidi Blickenstaff ('Mickey'), Ted Louis Levy ('Mr. Magix'), Michael Park ('Prince Nicolai') and Lance Roberts ('Rev. J.D. Montgomery').

TV, Film and Broadway star Charles Shaughnessy returns to Scottsdale Musical Theater Company this December as Ebenezer Scrooge in the musical A Christmas Carol (December 6 - 23, 2018) at Tempe Center for the Arts.

The LEXington Theatre Company opened A Chorus Line on August 2, wrapping up their fourth season of combining 'Today's Broadway Stars and Tomorrow's Broadway Hopefuls' in Lexington, Kentucky.
