As usual, come the festive season, there is a plethora of shows on offer to begin the merriment - and if a pantomime or version of A Christmas Carol isn't for you, there is still plenty of choice. A popular venue in London is Penge's Bridge House Theatre, and this year their Christmas treat is a stage version of the perennial film favourite, Miracle On 34th Street.
The UK premiere of Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play will run at The Bridge House Theatre this holiday season, playing 27 November through 23 December 2017. Adapted from the Lux Radio Hour broadcast of the original film by Lance Arthur Smith, the show includes original lyrics, music and arrangements by Jon Lorenz. Casting has been announced for the UK premiere of Miracle on 34th Street: A Live Musical Radio Play at The Bridge House Theatre this Christmas. The cast includes Richard Albrecht, Emily Carewe, Ellis Dackombe, Lowenna Melrose, Lewis Rae, Amy Reitsma and Jamie Ross.
Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story is the shocking true story of Richard Loeb and Nathan Leopold, two soon to be trainee lawyers who kidnap and murder a 14 year old boy in their desire to commit the perfect crime. Returning to the fringe for the first time since 2014 this production reunites the original creative team, with direction by Guy Retallack and Musical Direction by Kris Rawlinson.
