From October 19 to November 24, 2018, SpeakEasy Stage will present the Boston Regional Theatre Premiere of the 2015 Tony Award-winning musical FUN HOME.

Greater Boston Stage Company proudly announces the second Don Fulton New Play Project, The Salonnieres. By acclaimed playwright, Liz Duffy Adams, The Salonnieres, set in pre-Revolutionary Paris, is an evening filled with fairytales, facades, and the feminist revolution. Directed by Producing Artistic Director Weylin Symes, performances run October 25 - November 11, 2018. The Press Opening is Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 3:00pm.

Moonbox Productions, winner of numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, is thrilled to present William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and Donald Margulies' Shipwrecked! An Entertainment performed in repertory.  Produced by Sharman Altshuler and directed by IRNE and Norton winning Director, Allison Olivia Choat, the productions are performed on alternating nights and open on November 25th and run through December 29th at the Boston Center for the Arts Plaza Theater, 539 Tremont Street, Boston.  Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays/Saturdays at 8 pm, Sat/Sun matinees 3 pm. American Repertory Theater at Harvard University (A.R.T.) announces October and November 2018 programming at OBERON, its club-style theater space for cutting-edge performance and thriving incubator for local and emerging artists. Upcoming events include A.R.T.'s Live @ OBERON and Afterglow @ OBERON series, as well as independently-produced events.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, Founding Artistic Director Steven Maler, announced the cast of the first production of its 2018-19 Season: Universe Rushing Apart: Blue Kettle & Here We Go, two one-act plays by Caryl Churchill, directed by Bryn Boice. The production runs November 7-18 at the Black Box Theater, Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College in Wellesley.

Castillo Theatre (543 W. 42nd Street) proudly presents the world premiere production of Dishwasher Dreams, written and performed by comedian, performer and storyteller Alladin Ullah. Directed by GabrielVega Weissman, the production runs from October 26 - November 18, 2018.

Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT) opens its 2018-19 season with The Tragic Ecstasy of Girlhood by Kira Rockwell. Running from October 11-21, this new drama is directed by Leila Ghaemi.

American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, is pleased to announce upcoming performances of the next offering in the Live @ OBERON series: Samora Pinderhughes' The Transformations Suite at OBERON (2 Arrow Street, Cambridge) Saturday, October 6 at 7PM and Sunday, October 7 at 8PM.

American Repertory Theater at Harvard University (A.R.T.), under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, announces Clairvoyance Installation #1: Chosen Family Portrait, the next event in the 2018/19 A.R.T. Breakout series. The installation will take place on Sunday, September 23, 1PM - 4PM, on Harvard Yard.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre presents A Doll's House, Part 2, written by Lucas Hnath and directed by Les Waters, which begins previews on Thursday, September 6 and runs through Sunday, October 21. American Blues Theater announces encore performance run of BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story, written by Alan Janes, directed by Lili-Anne Brown, with musical direction by Ensemble Member Michael Mahler. BUDDY - The Buddy Holly Story will close as planned on May 26, 2018 and reopen June 29 - September 15, 2018 at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago. Tickets will be on sale for the encore run on May 15, 2018.

Hub Theatre Company of Boston will close its critically acclaimed sixth season with the five-time Tony Award-winning play Peter and The Starcatcher by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The show will be directed by award winning local favorite Sarah Gazdowicz, with music direction by Bethany Aiken

Playwrights MJ Halberstadt of Brookline and Laura Neill of Norwood have been selected from among 40 applicants to develop an original Boston-centric play as part of SpeakEasy Stage Company's returning new works initiative The Boston Project.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF) has named Oskar Eustis as the first recipient of its new honor, The Gordon Davidson Award, which will be bestowed annually by SDCF to recognize a director or choreographer for lifetime achievement and distinguished service in the regional theatre nationally. The presentation of the award will take place on Saturday, September 22, at the Center Theatre Group's Annex/ Gordon Davidson Rehearsal Hall, in a by-invitation-only event.

BroadwayWorld has learned that New Rep Theatre in Massachusetts will stage a gender-bent production of 1776 this holiday season! The production is set to run at the Mosesian Center for the Arts November 30th through December 23rd.
