On February 14th, 2011, the Prague Shakespeare Festival and Classical Theatre Company will present Houston with a special Valentine's Day gift: Tina Packer's groundbreaking exploration of Shakespeare's canon: Women of Will.

Today the American Repertory Theater announced that Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater in New York, will be the recipient of the A.R.T.'s 2011 Robert Brustein Award.

Luke Grooms will perform for the second time at Germano's by popular demand, Friday February 18th at 7:30pm at Germano's Trattoria. For this show he will have several special guests.

Underground Railway Theater and Playwrights' Theatre at Boston University celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Derek Walcott's founding of Boston Playwrights' Theatre and commemorate the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti with a co-production of Walcott's powerful folk parable, TI-JEAN AND HIS BROTHERS.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews Tuesday, February 1 for the world premiere production of Rinne Groff's COMPULSION, directed by Oskar Eustis.

Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) dives into 2011 with The Winter Festival, three productions that celebrate language, storytelling and company. The Winter Festival begins with Cymbeline (February 9 - February 20), directed by company member Doug Lockwood. Following Cymbeline is The Hotel Nepenthe (February 25 - March 6) written by company member John Kuntz, winner of the 2010 Elliot Norton award for Best New Play (The Salt Girl), and directed by David R. Gammons. Finally, closing the festival is Living in Exile (March 9 - March 20) written by local playwright Jon Lipsky and directed by ASP Artistic Director Allyn Burrows. The Winter Festival will be housed at a new venue for ASP: The Storefront on Elm in the heart of Davis Square (255 Elms Street) in Somerville.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews Tuesday, February 1 for the world premiere production of Rinne Groff's COMPULSION, directed by Oskar Eustis. The cast features Hannah Cabell, Matte Osian, and Mandy Patinkin, with puppet design and puppetry supervision by Matt Acheson. COMPULSION runs through Sunday, March 13 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street) with an official press opening on Thursday, February 17. Tickets are on sale now.

Flashpoint Theatre Company presents Adam Rapp's NOCTURNE, February 2-26. All performances will be held at Second Stage at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street, in Philadelphia.

PROMETHEUS BOUND, a new musical with script and lyrics by Steven Sater (from the play by Aeschylus) with music composed by Serj Tankian and directed by Diane Paulus will run at the American Repertory Theater from February 25 - April 2, 2011. An outcry against tyranny, Prometheus Bound illustrates one man's struggle against the brute force of a ruthless dictator. Written by Tony and Grammy Award-winning playwright and lyricist Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) with music composed by Grammy Award-winning System of a Down lead singer Serj Tankian, this new musical is inspired by Aeschylus's Ancient Greek tragedy about the heroic struggle of Western civilization's first prisoner of conscience. A.R.T. Artistic Director Diane Paulus stages this world premiere production in OBERON, immersing the audience in an environment that has the Dionysian energy and rebelliousness of a rock concert.
