Flashpoint Theatre Company presents Adam Rapp's NOCTURNE, February 2 - 26, 2011. All performances will be held at Second Stage at the Adrienne, 2030 Sansom Street, in Philadelphia. Ticket prices range from $5 to $20 (depending on the performance). .

Fifteen years ago, a teenage boy accidentally killed his sister. Now an adult, he shares his story of how grief can unravel a family. From thegut-wrenching first sentence to the bittersweet and hopeful closing moments, Adam Rapp's beautiful and intricate writing is showcased in this haunting
one-man show.

Adam Rapp is a novelist, filmmaker, and an OBIE Award-winning playwright and director. He has been the recipient of the Herbert & Patricia Brodkin Scholarship, two Lincoln Center le Compte de Nuoy Awards, a fellowship to the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France, the 1999 Princess Grace Award for Playwrighting, a 2000 Roger L. Stevens Award from the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays, a 2000 Suite Residency with Mabou Mines, the 2001 Helen Merrill Award for Emerging Playwrights, Boston's Elliot Norton Award, was short-listed for the 2003 William Saroyan International Prize for Writing, named a finalist for the 2006 Pulitzer Prize, and was most recently honored with the 2006 Princess Grace Statue as well as a Lucille Lortel Playwriting Fellowship. Some of his plays include Blackbird, Red Light Winter, American Sligo and Classic Kitchen Timer.

This one-man show features Kevin Meehan. Meehan, who is making his Flashpoint debut, is a theater, film and television actor who has worked with several companies in Philadelphia.

Director Meghann Williams is a founding member and Associate Artistic Director of Flashpoint Theatre Company. Directing credits for Flashpoint include The Little Dog Laughed, The Faculty Room, The House of Yes, The Santaland Diaries and Season's Greetings, and The Vagina Monologues. Meghann is the co-creator, co-writer, and co-performer of Chlamydia dell'Arte: A Sex-Ed Burlesque. Solo projects include Pretty and I Swear This One is Gonna Last and All Those Other Bastards Were Only Practice.

The production team includes Flashpoint favorites Christine Pedone, Set Designer; Melanie Leeds, Stage Manager and Flashpoint Artistic Director Thom Weaver, Lighting Designer. Making their Flashpoint debuts are Daniel Perelstein, Sound Design/Composer; and Katherine Fritz, Costumes.

Flashpoint Theatre Company produces socially provocative and emotionally resonant works of new and contemporary theatre in the greater Philadelphia area, while giving voice to a diverse group of emerging artists. Founded in 2003 by five graduates of Drew University, Flashpoint's first six seasons have included fifteen Philadelphia premieres and one world premiere, several readings of new plays as part of the High Voltage Workshop Series, and numerous outreach events including artist talkbacks, benefit performances of Eve Ensler's *The Vagina Monologues*, and special matinees for local high school students.
