The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin performances for the world premiere of Elevator Repair Service's ARGUENDO on Tuesday, September 10. Directed by John Collins, ARGUENDO will run through Sunday, October 6, with an official press opening on Tuesday, September 24.

Award-winning singer Brian De Lorenzo swings into The Metropolitan Room to celebrate the artistry and remarkable career of one of America's favorite singers, Nat King Cole tonight, August 24 at 7 p.m. De Lorenzo presents songs for which Mr. Cole is well known - songs such as 'Nature Boy,' 'Mona Lisa,' and 'Don't Get Around Much Anymore' - plus stories and anecdotes about Mr. Cole's personal and professional lives. De Lorenzo will also interweave memories and anecdotes from his own experiences of Nat King Cole's music.

Elements Theatre Company to Present THE IMPORTANCE OF LIVE THEATER IN OUR CULTURE Panel, 9/17

On Tuesday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m., Elements Theatre Company of Orleans, MA will host a panel discussion, "The Importance of Live Theater in Our Culture: The Art of Making Humans More Human" at Back Bay Events Center (180 Berkeley Street, Boston, MA). Panelists are Jared Bowen, WGBH Executive Arts Editor, Joyce Kulhawik, President of the Boston Theater Critics Association, Julie Hennrikus, Executive Director of StageSource; Georgia Lyman, award-winning actress, and Fr. Thomas Kane, Professor at Boston College. Danielle Dwyer, Elements Artistic Director, will moderate. Panel discussion is FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Boston Landmarks Orchestra will present a concert version of Cole Porter's Kiss Me Kate with Broadway's Marc Kudisch* as Fred Graham/Patruchio and Kerry O'Malley* as Lilli Vanessi/Katherine. Steven Maler, Founding Artistic Director of Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and Associate Artistic Director, Adam Sanders, will direct with Boston Landmark Orchestra's Music Director Christopher Wilkins, conducting. The free event will be held tonight, August 21st at 7:00PM at DCR's Hatch Shell on the Esplanade.

Part of 1st Irish, THE COMPASS ROSE begins performances on Thursday, September 12 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 29. Press Opening is Monday September 16 at 7 PM. Box Office Opens Tomorrow for THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Broadway's Booth Theatre

Producers Jeffrey Richards and John N. Hart Jr., in association with the American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), have announced that the box office will open on Thursday, August 8th for the 17-week limited engagement of the critically-acclaimed revival of The Glass Menagerie at the Booth Theatre (222 W 45th Street) with performances beginning Thursday, September 5, 2013, and an opening night set for Thursday, September 26th. The production will star multiple Tony and Emmy Award-winner Cherry Jones as Amanda Wingfield, film and stage star Zachary Quinto as Tom, two-time Tony-nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura, and Brian J. Smith as Jim, the Gentleman Caller.
