The Drama League welcomes a roster of special guest performers for the 31st Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway honoring the legendary Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Award (EGOT) winner James Earl Jones to be held this evening, February 2, 2015 at the famed Pierre Hotel (2 East 61st Street).

Acorn Productions, producers of the annual Maine Playwrights Festival (MPF), announces that they have received a grant from the Maine Theater Fund to support a residency in Portland by Boston-based playwright Melinda Lopez.

The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus, presents "Fighting For Freedom: The Civil War and its Legacies" - with Timothy Patrick McCarthy in conversation with Suzan-Lori Parks, Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright of Father Comes Home From The Wars (Parts 1, 2, & 3); Henry Louis Gates, Jr., AlphonseUniversity Professor and Director of the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research at Harvard University; and Eric Foner, DeWitt Clinton Professor of History at Columbia University.

Hosted by Sirius XM Radio Star Seth Rudetsky, this unique series will debut this winter at The Nourse Theater with two concerts. First up will be the red-hot star of TV's “Smash” and Broadway's “Wicked,” Megan Hilty on February 7th, followed by Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award nominated superstar Vanessa Williams on April 25.

WAR LESBIAN will play seven performances only - tonight, December 5th, 6th, 12th,13th, 19th, and 20th at 7:30PM, and December 20th at 10:00PM at Dixon Place (161 Christie Street).
