According to her official Facebook page, stage and screen star Laura Bell Bundy recently underwent surgery to 'patch up a hole in [her] heart'. As she has revealed in the past, Bundy was diagnosed with a a Ventricular Septal Defect as an infant and has been monitored for the condition throughout her life.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the stage and screen star (and creater of the popular webseries Cooter County) has been hard at work on a new webseries, titled Skits-O-Frenic. In the latest episode, she takes on Shawn Mendes' 'Stitches', but with a twist. Bundy told Billboard: 'When I first heard 'Stitches' I thought, 'Wow this has the bones of a country song' and I knew by adding the right instruments (banjo, mandolin, and fiddle) this would be an amazing bluegrass cover. I'm really proud of the music we created.'

Not only are they willing to do shows that are outside the scope of traditional companies, but they also do them extremely well. BAT BOY, a cult favorite since it debuted Off-Broadway in 2001, is far from a perfect show, but Gen Y's version, directed by Kenny Howard and running through Halloween at The Abbey, just might be as perfect of a production as possible.
