The Public Theatre Announces Free Encore Performance of RUNAWAYS at the Delacorte

The Public Theatre has announced a free performance of the Liz Swados musical RUNAWAYS on Tuesday, June 12 at 8pm, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Public Theater Announces Free Encore Performance of Runaways June 12

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that there will be a free added public performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Tuesday, June 12 at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Sam Pinkleton, with choreography by Ani Taj, and creative advisement by Jeanine Tesori, the additional performance will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this milestone production that first premiered at The Public in 1978 and continues to be a definitive moment in Public Theater history.

La MaMa E.T.C. to Receive 2018 Regional Theatre Tony Award

Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that based on the recommendation by the American Theatre Critics Association, that La MaMa E.T.C. The Ziegfeld Club, one of the first New York City performing arts charities to benefit women, is thrilled to announce that the third Liz Swados Inspiration Grant is now open to applicants. Created in 2016 and underwritten by actress Diane Lane, The Liz Swados Inspiration Grant serves to honor an influential female music educator in New York City through a $5,000.00 cash grant.
