Writers' Theater Presents A MINISTER'S WIFE, 5/5

Writers' Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce that A Minister's Wife, Writers' Theatre's musical adapted from George Bernard Shaw's Candida, will be produced by Lincoln Center Theater in the 2010-11 season. The original musical was conceived and directed by Michael Halberstam, adapted by Austin Pendleton with music by Joshua Schmidt and lyrics by Jan Tranen. The Lincoln Center production will be directed by Halberstam. Performances begin on Thursday, April 7, 2011 and opens on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street, New York City).

Little Bucharest Bistro Presents 'Friday Night Cabaret' Feat. Elizabeth Doyle 4/9

This Friday, April 9, singer/songwriter/pianist/composer, Elizabeth Doyle, will appear at at Little Bucharest Bistro for a Friday Night Cabaret. Elizabeth has music-directed four musicals for Emerald City Theater Company in Chicago, including the recent holiday production HANSEL AND GRETEL. Performing selections out of The Great American Songbook, she will be joined by Jamie Brady, Scott Gryder, Claudia Hommel, Jo Rainey, Carol Weston, as well as some surprise guests!

CCP Announces Upcoming Musical Monday Shows 4/9, 4/20

Chicago Cabaret Professionals (CCP) and Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place, 175 E. Chestnut Street, announce the third show of this Musical Monday series due to the sold out success of the monthly cabaret concert series launched in 2008. All shows in the Musical Mondays at Drury Lane series begin at 7:30 p.m. at Drury Lane Theatre Water Tower Place.
