Actress Elisha Cuthbert stopped by CBS's THE TALK to discuss her new show "One Big Happy" and playing Lizzy, a gay woman who's pregnant with the child of her straight best friend

Almost 18 years ago, Ellen DeGeneres made television history when she announced she was gay on her sitcom. Today, DeGeneres is changing the TV landscape yet again with the NBC comedy, ONE BIG HAPPY.

NBC has announced premiere dates for its burgeoning midseason schedule — dramas “The Blacklist,” “Allegiance, “Night Shift,” “A.D.” and “Odyssey,” event series “The Slap,” and comedies “One Big Happy” and “Undateable.”

Coming off a season in which the network catapulted to No. 1 in the 18-49 demo and saw double-digit improvement in many prominent timeslots, NBC has announced a line-up of popular returning series, inventive new comedies, compelling new dramas and season seven of the Emmy Award-winning musical competition series 'The Voice.'

NBC has given a midseason series order to Liz Feldman's ONE BIG HAPPY, starring Elisha Cuthbert and Nick Zano, according to Deadline. Ellen DeGeneres produces the comedy. The network has also picked up MISSION CONTROL, starring Krysten Ritter.

Happy Endings alumna Elisha Cuthbert is taking on another comedy with Happy in the title. After fielding multiple offers, Cuthbert has been tapped as the female lead opposite Nick Zano in NBC's multi-camera pilo tOne Big Happy, from Warner Bros TV and Ellen DeGeneres' A Very Good Production.

Variety reports that Nickelodeon has greenlit a sophomore seaon of the new comedy INSTANT MOM starring Tia Mowry.

NickMom this fall will premiere Instant Mom, its first original scripted comedy series, starring and produced by Tia Mowry-Hardrict (Tia & Tamera).

Deadline reports that ABC's comedy Happy Endings will not be renewed following its third season. After some time shopping for a new home, Sony Pictures TV has decided to put the series to rest.

ABC may no longer be interested in HAPPY ENDINGS. Following dismal ratings and an inability to find an audience in its ever-changing timeslot, reporst have run rampant that ABC is seriously considering cancelling its ensemble comedy HAPPY ENDINGS.

On HAPPY ENDINGS' upcoming episode, titled 'The Ballad of Lon Sarofsky,' the gang is shocked when Penny rebounds from her breakup with Pete by having a torrid affair with the last man on earth they'd pick for her -- the Car Czar (Rob Corddry). To make matters worse, she's temporarily living with Brad and Jane, who end up acting like disapproving parents. Meanwhile the friends pressure Max to get a job so he'll stop sponging off them.
