MEIN KAMPF Staged Again in Dark Revival at Theater For The New City

???????One of the most original and darkly satirical theatre voices of the 20th century, George Tabori, will be jolted back to life when the director Manfred Bormann, and the actor GW Reed bring his 'Mein Kampf' and 'Jubilee' back to the stage.

Pear Theatre continues its season with Arthur Miller's classic, "A View from the Bridge," with timely reminders about the realities of illegal immigration, of jealousy born from fear, and the dangers of acting on self-destructive impulse. "A View from the Bridge," directed by Ray Renati, previews on March 9. Press and Opening Night is Today, March 10, followed by a champagne gala. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, throughApril 2. The Drama Book Shop will welcome internationally-renowned director and acting teacher, Jack Garfein, to speak about his groundbreaking, psychologically complex film, Something Wild, his book, Life and Acting: Techniques for the Actor and his world-famous Master Classes on acting technique now given at his newly opened Jack Garfein Studio in the Theater District.

Alan Gilbert and New York Philharmonic Present World Premiere of THE JUNGLE By Wynton Marsalis, 12/28

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner Wynton Marsalis's The Jungle (Symphony No. 4), commissioned by the Philharmonic as the first of The New York Commissions, with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis; William Bolcom's Trombone Concerto with Principal Trombone Joseph Alessi as soloist; and Copland's Quiet City, featuring Principal Trumpet Christopher Martin and English horn player Grace Shryock in her Philharmonic solo debut.
