PS122's COIL 2016 to Kick Off in January

Performance Space 122's annual performance festival, COIL, returns for its eleventh edition with fifteen individual events, making it the largest COIL to date. The festival demonstrates the constant vitality of live performance in New York City and features work created locally, across the U.S., and around the world. Known for its groundbreaking contemporary performance, this year's COIL festival spans interdisciplinary art, working with new technologies and forms. Through installations, live and virtual practices, PS122 is committed to redefining how, where and when performance is experienced.

New Georges to Premiere Trish Harnetiaux's HOW TO GET INTO BUILDINGS at The Brick This Winter

Coming off of their Obie Award winning production of A Beautiful Day in November on the Banks of the Great Lakes at City Center in January and the critically acclaimed Heartbreak at The Bushwick Starr in May, New Georges announces their final production of 2015, the World Premiere of HOW TO GET INTO BUILDINGS by Trish Harnetiaux (If You Can Get to Buffalo with Incubator Arts Project) at The Brick (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn; www.bricktheater.com) as part of The Brick's Resident Artist program, December 3-19.

NYTW Extends FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced an extension for FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND, the first production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) 2015/16 Season. FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND began previews on Friday, September 11, 2015 and officially opened on Monday, September 28, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003), and will now run through Saturday, October 24 2015. Tickets for FONDLY, COLLETTE RICHLAND are now on sale at www.nytw.org.

Katrina Lenk, Richard Topol, Lenny Wolpe and More Star in Yale Rep's INDECENT, Premiering Tonight

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), now through October 24. Opening Night is tonight, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

Tickets to David Bowie & Enda Walsh's LAZARUS at NYTW on Sale Today

Tickets for LAZARUS, the second production of the New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) (Artistic Director James C. Nicola and Managing Director Jeremy Blocker) 2015/16 Season, will go on sale today beginning at 12pm EST. Single tickets for LAZARUS are $95. A limited number of $25 CheapTix will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for the first two performances. Tickets and membership packages can be purchased by visiting www.nytw.org or by calling 212-460-5475 (Monday-Friday, noon-6pm) or visiting the NYTW Box Office (79 E. 4th Street New York, NY 10003).

Burning Coal Theatre Company to Present THE WIZ

Burning Coal Theatre Company presents The Wiz by William F. Brown and Charlie Smalls, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand at The Murphey School Auditorium (224 Polk Street, Raleigh, NC 27604) Thursdays through Saturdays December 3rd-5th, 10th-12th, and 17th-19st at 7:30 pm and Saturdays and Sundays December 5th-6th, 12th- 13th, and 19th- 20th at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors (65+), and $15 for students, teachers or active military. Burning Coal also offers group rates ($15 for groups of 10+) and $5 student rush tickets. All Thursday performances are $15.  New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the full cast for LAZARUS, by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (Once, Tony Award), inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis, and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions, Obie Awards). LAZARUS begins previews on November 18, with an opening night set for December 7, 2015.

Burning Coal's Its 2015-16 Season to Feature THE WIZ, BLUE SKY & More

Burning Coal Theatre Company of Raleigh, NC announces its 2015/2016 season of plays. In its 19th season, the theatre, housed in the historic Murphy School auditorium at 224 Polk Street, will host the Brooklyn based Only Child Aerial Theatre's Production of Asylum created by Nicki Miller and Kendall Rileigh and directed by Nicki Miller (October 15 - November 1, 2015), The Wiz by William F Brown, Charles Smalls and Luther Vandross, directed by Randolph Curtis Rand (December 3 - December 20, 2015), The US premier of Blue Sky by Clare Bayley, directed by Gus Heagerty and co-produced by CAM/Raleigh (January 28 - February 14, 2016 at CAM/Raleigh), and the American premier of Spoonface Steinberg by Lee Hall, the writer of Billy Elliot, directed by Jerome Davis (April 7 - April 24, 2016).

Vineyard Arts Project Announces FLYING OVER SUNSET Cast

Vineyard Arts Project, a nonprofit performing arts residency center on Martha's Vineyard, has announced the cast and creative team of Flying Over Sunset, a new musical to be developed in residence in August. 

New York Theatre Workshop Names 2015-16 Season's 2050 Fellows

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2015/16 season 2050 Fellowship. The playwrights are Nathan Alan Davis, Hansol Jung and Patricia Ione Lloyd and the directors are Noelle Ghoussaini, Alexandru Mihail and Danya Taymor.
