Florida Studio Theatre's Mainstage Season to Open with ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS

Florida Studio Theatre's Mainstage season starts off in Brighton, England. The BROADWAY HIT One Man, Two Guvnors opens in the Gompertz Theatre on November 20, 2015.  Having received 7 Tony nominations, this clever comedy complete with mobsters, murders, and mishaps, was written by Richard Bean, based on Carlo Goldoni's The Servant of Two Masters. BILL W. AND DR. BOB -- the critically acclaimed play by Samuel Shem and Janet Surrey -- will once again extend its Off-Broadway run at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street), now through March 30, 2014, it has been announced by Dr. Shem and Dr. Surrey, and General Manager Darren Lee Cole. BILL W. AND DR. began its run at the Soho Playhouse on July 8, 2013 and officially opened on July 16, 2013; the Off-Broadway play is currently in its sixth month of performances and recently celebrated its 150th performance on December 27, 2013. The show was fantastic to begin with. The John W. Engeman Theatre's retelling of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has a refreshing taste to the classic favorite. Directed by Mark Adam Rampmeyer and adapted by Michael Wilson, this production runs through January 6th at the beautiful Northport theatre.

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival will roll into its repertory season when William Shakespeare's comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor opens on April 13 followed by Henry VIII on April 19. In addition to the openings of these two Shakespearean works, two comedies The Thirty Nine Steps and Travels My Aunt will reopen for the second half of their runs on April 22.
