New York City director-choreographer Stas Kmiec presented the award for 'Best Choreographer' at the annual Jan Kiepura Musical Theater Awards, which took place in Warsaw on May 16. Statuettes were handed out to musical theater artists in 12 categories.

The OMNI Ensemble will conclude its 30th season of concerts in the recital hall at the Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Boulevard on Thursday afternoon, today, April 18th at 3:00 pm and at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music on Saturday evening, April 20, 2013 at 8:00 pm. Music Director/Flutist David Wechsler will be joined by guest artists Erika Banks, vocal, Jim Ponzi, guitar, Art Bailey, keyboards, Jennifer Vincent, bass, and Dave Forman, drums.

On Saturday, March 23, over 500 business and arts leaders attended the Arts Council's 16th Annual Celebration of the Arts in Howard County Gala at Howard Community College's Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center in Columbia. This year's annual benefit gala raised $102,000, with an additional $110,000 in donated goods and services in support of the arts in Howard County. Since 1998, over $1 million has been raised through Celebration of the Arts!

Following the overwhelming audience response and unprecedented ticket demand for the recently opened production of PIAF, Curve has announced additional performance dates from 3 - 6 April 2013. The production currently showing in Curve's Studio will be transferred into the larger Theatre space, with Frances Ruffelle continuing in the title role as the legendary French chanteuse, Edith Piaf. Planning is also underway for a national tour of the production, following the performances at Curve; full details to be confirmed at a later date. Atlantis Productions (Disney's "Aladdin," "Rock of Ages") kicks off its new theater season with British playwright Pam Gem's reworked version of her original late '70s play 'Piaf,' which is a bio-drama with music based on the life and career of Edith Piaf, one of France's most popular performers during World War II.
