Barenaked Ladies Release Extended Acoustic EP

Multi-platinum pop-rock band BARENAKED LADIES have released FAKE NUDES: NAKED, a special digital-only extended EP, which features acoustic renditions of 8 songs from the band's fifteenth studio album, Fake Nudes.  Additionally, the band released the Edward Pond-directed performance video of “Bringing it Home,” which can be seen HERE.  The EP and video release comes on the heels of last night's kickoff show for the “Group Therapy Tour,” a 44-city run that will see Barenaked Ladies summering on the road with Hootie & The Blowfish. 

BIG BANG THEORY Brings Back Barenaked Ladies To Celebrate Series Finale

A dozen years after executive producers Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady asked Barenaked Ladies to compose a theme song for a new show they'd created called “The Big Bang Theory,” the multi-platinum band was invited back for last night's historic series finale. Film Composer John Powell Recognized With ASCAP Henry Mancini Award; Composer Germaine Franco Receives ASCAP Shirley Walker Award

ASCAP, the American Society of Composer, Authors and Publishers, the world leader in performing rights and advocacy for music creators, celebrated the composers of the past year's most performed music in TV, film and video games last night at the 33rd annual ASCAP Screen Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. John Powell, a prolific composer who has scored more than 60 films - including the upcoming Solo: A Star Wars Story - was awarded the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award for his outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of film and television music.

Former NBA Player Jamaal Magloire & Barenaked Ladies Singer Ed Robertson Guest Star in New SHOOT THE MESSENGER

Veteran NBA All-Star player Jamaal Magloire guest stars as a professional basketball player, alongside illustrious Barenaked Ladies rockstar Ed Robertson as the aforementioned athlete's powerful sports agent on an all-new episode of WGN America's “Shoot the Messenger,” airing the night of Friday, March 23 at 12/11c.  In “Careful What You Pray For,” Daisy (Elyse Levesque) and Simon (Lucas Bryant) uncover details behind the scandalous  photo of Orlandio Spence (Jamaal Magloire) and Judge Reeves (Brenda Bazinet) that causes the reporters to speculate new motives and suspects for the murders. Meanwhile, Detective Lutz (Lyriq Bent) makes his own progress when he starts connecting the dots between Hassan  (Araya Mengesha) and both cases. More drama unfolds as Khaalif is arrested during a Guns and Gangs raid, all while Sam Charles' (Ari Cohen) investigation starts to heat up.

Final Performers Confirmed For 47th Annual JUNO Awards Broadcast, 3/25 on CBC

The next group of artists set to perform at The 2018 JUNO Awards wereannounced today by the Canadian Academy of Arts and Sciences (CARAS). World-renowned jazz singer, Diana Krall, singer-songwriter and Vancouver local Shawn Hook, and Nunavut indie roots band The Jerry Cans, will take the Rogers Arena stage on March 25, 2018.  The JUNO Awards will be broadcast live nationwide 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on CBC, CBC Radio and globally on cbcmusic.ca/junos.
