'Music by Prudence' and 'Mugabe and the White African' will screen as the next installment in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' 29th annual 'Contemporary Documentaries' series on Wednesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood. Admission to all screenings in the series is free.

Last spring's wildly successful The Berenstain Bears' Family Matters delighted children and their grown up friends all over the Delaware Valley. This year, our kids' series takes a sharp turn to starboard for How I Became a Pirate, a colorfully hilarious musical adventure on the high seas! Adapted by Alyn Cardarelli, with music by Steve Goers, How I Became A Pirate runs at 10:30am on March 26, April 8 and 9; 11am on March 27 and April 10; and at 10:30am, 1pm and 3:30pm on April 3.

Rhode Island International Film Festival To Screen 235 Films During 13TH Annual RIFF EVENT

With films and filmmakers arriving from across the globe, the Rhode Island International Film Festival (RIIFF) kicks off its 13th annual event August 4th-9th, 2009. This year 235 feature length, documentary and short films - from 57 countries - will be screened over a six-day period In locations throughout the state, all vying for top awards. Out of over 7,000 film festivals worldwide, RIIFF is one of only 63 Academy Award qualifying Festivals. This year's films have been selected from a record entry base of over 3,000 submissions.
