Photo Flash: Ken Ludwig's TREASURE ISLAND Sails Into Cincinnati Playhouse

Audiences will set sail on the journey of a lifetime, complete with cutthroat pirates, a treasure map and a courageous boy entangled in a dangerous swashbuckling expedition, when Ken Ludwig's TREASURE ISLAND arrives at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park April 21. This epic theatrical adaptation runs through May 19 (Opening Night is April 26).

Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING 8/15-27

The 2017 Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) Professional Company will present Much Ado About Nothing from August 15-27 in the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center's Patricia George Decio Theatre on campus at the University of Notre Dame. NDSF Ryan Producing Artistic Director has assembled a creative dream team for this year's production, including Director Drew Fracher, returning for a second season since his acclaimed production of The Winter's Tale in 2015.

Ensemble Theatre presents Regional Premiere of WHEN WE YOUNG AND UNAFRAID

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) travels back to the 1970s with When We Were Young and Unafraid, an intriguing drama by Sarah Treem, one of the writers behind Netflix's House of Cards and co-creator of Showtime's award-winning drama The Affair. In this moving piece, a new arrival's influence forces the residents of an underground women's shelter to confront their own secrets. This powerful drama explores the passion of youth, the wisdom of age, and the people who awaken us to new possibilities. Playing February 21-March 12, 2017. Directed by Drew Fracher.

Louisville's Favorite Holiday Tradition Returns

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Kevin E. Moore are delighted to announce Fifth Third Bank's A Christmas Carol, based on the book by Charles Dickens, adapted by Barbara Field and directed by Drew Fracher. Dickens' classic tale of hope and redemption finds extraordinary new life in Actors Theatre's joyous staging. Celebrate the splendor of the holidays with this spectacular production brimming with festive fun, soaring ghosts and cheerful carols that will charm audiences of all ages. A Christmas Carol will preview November 22 and November 23, openNovember 25 and run through December 23 in the Pamela Brown Auditorium.

Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival Announces 2017 Season

The Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival (NDSF) has announced its 2017 summer offerings, two beloved comedies and a kick-off celebration. The season begins with ShakeScenes, the Festival's annual Shakespeare mash-up featuring actors of all ages. Next, the Festival's touring company will bring Twelfth Night to parks and gardens throughout the region. Finally, the professional company will present Much Ado About Nothing, Shakespeare's touching comedy starring word warriors, Beatrice and Benedick.
