The Wheelhouse Theater Company, fresh off the heels of it's critically acclaimed production of Julius Caesar this past spring, and under the direction of Founding Artistic Director Jeffrey Wise, has announced that it will stage a searing and imaginative production of ROMEO AND JULIET, Thursday, June 23rd through July 9th at the Davenport Theatre's Black Box Theatre, 354 West 45th Street. New York Shakespeare Exchange, the company that popularizes Shakespeare with innovative programs like The Sonnet Project and the ShakesBEER Pub Crawls, presents a boldly inclusive 'Hamlet.' Running from Wednesday March 23 through Saturday April 9, at the Flamboyan Theater, 107 Suffolk Street, Shakespeare Exchange's 'Hamlet10' will be brought to life by uniquely diverse ensemble of just 10 actors who will play all the roles in the play, including, by turns, the role of the tragic Danish prince. These ten faces of Hamlet (five female and five male) will stress how aspects of Hamlet reside in us all.

Based on Matisse's Self Portrait by playwright Charles Mee and the Greekfilm documentary Yiannis Moralis by Stelios Charalambopoulos, Hotel Mediterranee is a collage between live performance and video. This devised piece follows the lives of two renowned painters-a fictional Henri Matisse and the real Yiannis Moralis. By interrogating the negotiation between the everyday burden of making a livelihood and the creative process, Hotel Mediterraneeexplores the angsts and pleasures behind all great creativity and behind all human existence.
