Ford Theater Cancels December 19 Performances of A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Ford's Theatre has canceled both performances of 'A Christmas Carol' for Saturday, December 19, 2009. As per a statement from the theatre, 'We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change, but we felt it to be in the best interest of our patrons and staff. A decision regarding Sunday's performances will be announced tomorrow.'

LARAMIE Update: Annette O'Toole And Stephen Schnetzer Featured in DC Reading; Who Wants Cake? To Host Reading In Michigan

As previously announced, on October 12, nearly 150 theaters nationwide will stage readings of the epilogue piece to 2000's The Laramie Project, entitled The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later, in honor of the 11th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death. Two regional companies that have announced productions include Washington DC's Arena Stage and Who Wants Cake in Michigan.

Directed by Woolly Mammoth Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz, the cast features Woolly Mammoth Company Member Jessica Frances Dukes, Kimberly Gilbert, Kate Eastwood Norris, and Michael Willis, with Daniel Eichner, Drew Eshelman, and KenYatta Rogers.
