Bristol Riverside Theatre opens Alfred Uhry's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic DRIVING MISS DAISY on Tuesday, January 24, with the production running through February 12. Directed by Amy Kaissar, the ensemble cast includes Marvin Bell, Michael Samuel Kaplan, and Lucy Martin.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) and the Humphreys School for Musical Theatre (HSMT) presented two special events with award-winning composer Jason Robert Brown on January 19th and 20th.

Tisa Chang, Founding Artistic Producing Director of Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, announces its 40th Milestone Season in 2017 with the commissioned World Premiere of INCIDENT AT HIDDEN TEMPLE, which will run from January 21 - February 12, 2017 at the Clurman Theatre at Theatre Row in New York City (410 W. 42nd Street). The official opening will be on Thursday January 26 at 7:30PM.

American Lyric Theater (ALT) and Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center present InsightALT: Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Fallen Giant on March 26, 2017 at 3pm, 129 W. 67th Street, NYC.

Premiere Stages, the professional theatre company in residence at Kean University, has named B.V. Marshall as the winner of the 2017 Bauer-Boucher Award. Named for longtime Premiere Stages supporters W. John Bauer and Nancy Boucher, the Bauer-Boucher Award honors the work of gifted Kean student and alumni playwrights. The award is presented in conjunction with the one-day developmental Bauer-Boucher Kean Student/Alumni Reading, which affords the selected playwright the opportunity to hear his or her work read aloud by professional actors at Kean. This year's reading, taking place on January 23 at 3:20pm in the Miron Student Center Little Theatre on the Kean campus, will feature Mr. Marshall's Incident at Willow Creek. In this compelling and timely new work, Verite, an African American college professor, questions her neutral stance on guns after a troubling incident results in the killing of an innocent black man.
