In order to remove a curse on her family in Seattle, Mathilde must return a stolen manuscript at the same time that its dead author seeks it. That author is 19th-century composer Richard Wagner, intent on safeguarding his legacy. The handwritten manuscript, now worth millions, is an unknown last scene for his famous 'Ring' operas. Determined to thwart Wagner is the cunning dwarf Alberich, the villain of 'The Ring,' who long ago escaped his creator's grasp.

MOVING ARTS is thrilled to announce two (End of the) World Premiere apocalyptic plays BURNERS, written by Terence Anthony and directed by Sara Wagner and APOCALYPSE PLAY, written by Cory Hinkle and directed by Darin Anthony. Towne Street Theatre, L.A.'s premiere African-American theatre company, is excited to announce the Opening Night Reception for their 9th Annual TST Ten-Minute Play Festival, at the Stella Adler Theatre on April 8th.  Attendees are invited to join the cast and crew in the Stella Adler's Speakeasy for a wine reception, following the Opening Night production.

This year's Rough Draft Festival at LaGuardia Performing Arts features six new plays that are in the pre-production stage of development. Drawing on court testimony, lawsuit filings and secret corporate documents, some of them only recently uncovered,[Miss] follows FDA researcher Dr. Frances Oldham Kelsey (Nicole Darden Creston) as she reviews a new drug application submitted by doctors from the William S. Merrell Company (Russell Trahan and Jeff Hole) for the world's first safe sleeping pill.

The Chicago-based performing arts company Pride Films and Plays announces its inaugural The Great Trans* Play Contest. The international competition is open exclusively to playwrights who are transgender, gender queer, gender fluid, non-binary, or of other gender nonconforming identities, all referred to here as 'trans*.' The mission of this new competition is to specifically encourage new stories touching the trans* community and its members which are told with authentic trans* voices and thereby provide valuable opportunities for trans theatre artists in the disciplines of performance, direction, and management. In the process, Pride Films and Plays will foster trans* identified authors and help amplify their work within the queer and general theatre communities.

Diversionary has announced casting for the World Premiere of BALLAST by Georgette Kelly. This highly poetic play explores the waking and dream lives of two trans and cisgender couples as they come to terms with the new lives they find themselves in.
