In order to remove a curse on her family in Seattle, Mathilde must return a stolen manuscript at the same time that its dead author seeks it. That author is 19th-century composer Richard Wagner, intent on safeguarding his legacy. The handwritten manuscript, now worth millions, is an unknown last scene for his famous "Ring" operas. Determined to thwArt Wagner is the cunning dwarf Alberich, the villain of "The Ring," who long ago escaped his creator's grasp.

Post-Play Discussion: Speight Jenkins, former General Director of Seattle Opera, will lead a free discussion about Wagner and the "Ring" following performances on March 30 and April 2. Jenkins is one of the world's foremost authorities on those subjects.

The playwright Duane Kelly is the author of seven full-length plays. His plays have had readings at Last Frontier Theatre Conference (Alaska) with Edward Albee, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference (Idaho), Key City Theatre (Pt. Townsend, WA), and ACT Theatre (Seattle); and in New York, at Ensemble Studio Theatre, Lark Play Development Center, and id Theatre. His play "Escorting Tom" will be produced April 2017 at Burien Actors Theatre (Burien, WA). Duane writes a weekly arts-oriented blog. Since 2010 he has served as Washington state's representative for the Dramatists Guild of America.
